Hands-on training is on self-managed InsuranceSuite, which shares its core (data model, Gosu, PCFs, rules, product model) with Guidewire Cloud. A concept module explains what changes on Cloud. We do not provide access to Guidewire Cloud environments.

Developers need basic object-oriented programming, ideally Java. Testers do not need to code; they need insurance and InsuranceSuite business knowledge, which the testing track teaches.

Guidewire skills stay in demand because insurers run multi-year implementation, upgrade and cloud-migration programmes on the platform, and specialists are harder to find than general developers. Developer, tester and business analyst roles are all common entry points.

Our development programmes for PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter each take five weeks of live training, and the Guidewire Testing track takes three weeks. Learners who practise alongside the classes are usually ready for interviews by the end of the programme.

Guidewire is a software platform used by property and casualty (P&C) insurers to run their core operations. Its InsuranceSuite includes PolicyCenter for policies, ClaimCenter for claims and BillingCenter for billing, and it is customized using the Gosu programming language.

PolicyCenter is usually the best first module because it is typically the largest workstream on implementations. ClaimCenter and BillingCenter share the same technical foundation, so they are quicker to learn once you know one module.
